Makenna's Daddy grew up in St Thomas in the USVI. Shortly after Makenna died in 2022, we were visiting Trevor's family for a wedding that I was supposed to be too pregnant to travel for. 

It was on this trip that I found a deep connection to Makenna in the very place her Daddy grew up. I knew that I wanted to be able to help other mamas experience this type of connection with their babies. 

I set a goal for my very newly formed nonprofit that within five years, I would host my first loss mama retreat in St Thomas.

In October 2025, I am reaching that goal 2 years early.

This retreat will be fully funded for 12 loss moms to help them in any stage of their loss journey. During the 5 days, mamas will be given a nurturing and safe space to not only honor their loss, but where they can find community, cultivate hope, and experience joy.

As of now, our 12 spots have been filled. But I hope to be able to raise the funds to host a retreat annually.
